My Diary Character

The character in my renaissance diary is called Charles Pontidrague. He is 37 years old. He lives in England. He was born on September 11th 1567. He is a Writer. He has 7 children which gives him a busy-no-breaks life so he is always tired. But his wife helps him through the care taking of the family. He writes in his spare time, very little of that. Since he has so little time, he hasn't published many books, but his books dont have quantity with lack of quantity they have a lot of quality which gets him very rich. So he has the money for a grand manor that he lives in. He is a very generous and kind man to everyone he is an all-around good person. But the only feature of a great person that he lacks is the skill of a renaissance man. He only dislikes one person, but the whole town dislikes this person. His name is Arthur Storm-cloak. He rubs his success of being a favorite of the king in everyones faces when he comes back from his world wide trips. He is an all-around renaissance man. Everybody in the town jokes behind Charles' and Arthurs' back about how it would be wonderful if Arthurs' success went with Charles' good nature and how much more wonderful England would be if Charles had that success.

Renaissance Woman / Man

A renaissance man was a open minded, creative, thinker, Inquirer, risk taker, balanced, principled, communicators, charming, skilled in many fields, reflective, athletic, musically skilled.

A renaissance woman was charming, marriages arranged, well educated, loyal, posh, courageous, witty, only upperclass, thinkers.

What are characteristics of a 21st century man or woman?

They are very confident and arrogant because of how rich they are they think they are immune to most things. They have all the latest technology. They are very rich and have a lot of stuff but are not satisfied with all their wealth. The teenagers try to act "cool". Freedom.

What does it mean to have a "good life" in todays society?

Money. This world is pure capitalism. The world runs on money. You cannot acquire anything without money. Food needs money. Shelter needs money. Electricity needs money. Heat needs money. Water needs money. Education needs money. Health care needs money. All the human needs need money to acquire them. So without money you cannot have a good life if you do not have one of those things you have no life.
